status quo
Sunday, September 18

i dislike intensely when the status quo is challenged, or changed. when you start to wonder if things were always what they seemed, or otherwise. it's discomforting... and often leaves us in the lurch. questions with no answers --- ever a delight to teachers (who gleefully scrawl a zero onto the stark, blank page); ever a pain to students (whose stark, blank thoughts are reflected through their stark, blank face and the stark, blank page).

of course, sometimes asking too many questions brings forth the cause for these questions. hmmm.

in times like these, i'll always remember what leanne told me back in april... in these periods where everything seems to change, i can take comfort in the fact that God my Rock never changes. and He's always here with me (: even right now as i'm typing this, i'm sure (: ah, this feels so good.

'Truly He is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.'
- Psalm 62:2

Jesus Lover of My Soul by Hillsong United
"Though my world may fall, I'll never let You go.
My Saviour, my closest Friend.
I will worship You until the very end."

Everlasting God by New Life Worship
"You never change, You're still the same,
You are the everlasting God.
You will remain after the day is gone
And the things of Earth have passed.
Everlasting God."

that said, my relationship with God is something that i certainly don't want to be keeping at the status quo. i want it to keep changing, keep getting better. if it's stuck at the status quo, then something's wrong... i do believe there's always more to know, more to experience of God, God's love, and His wonderful realm. and i hope to experience more and more of it each day (:

today during worship i finally managed to feel the worship songs in my heart again. it's been a while, and i miss it. it's glad to have it back. worship isn't the same without feeling. mmm.

God is good, all the time. He put a song of praise in this heart of mine! ~

AMEN;
